{"id":58,"date":"2012-05-14T00:02:30","date_gmt":"2012-05-14T07:02:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.henare.org\/libblog\/?p=58"},"modified":"2012-05-14T00:02:30","modified_gmt":"2012-05-14T07:02:30","slug":"thing-2-exploring-others-blogs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.henare.org\/libblog\/2012\/05\/14\/thing-2-exploring-others-blogs\/","title":{"rendered":"thing 2: exploring others&#8217; blogs &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This isn&#8217;t a first&#8211;I try to follow quite a few blogs with Google Reader. \u00a0The volume can be enormous, but I continue to add new blogs anyway. \u00a0You see, I can&#8217;t really tell how prolific a blogger may become when I start following their blog.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, I can look at their blogging history, but things change over time and some folks pick up steam over time while others peter out. \u00a0Also (at least with Google Reader) I can pick and choose what I read&#8211;I don&#8217;t have to read every post in every blog, so I don&#8217;t. \u00a0Picking and choosing is what makes this enterprise possible at all. \u00a0It is ok to hit the &#8220;Mark all as read&#8221; button&#8211;anything important will come up again, perhaps in another venue.<\/p>\n<p>I did poke at a handful of the blogs <a title=\"cpd23 2012 participants\" href=\"http:\/\/cpd23.blogspot.com\/p\/participants.html\" target=\"_blank\">listed here<\/a> but many of them seem to be not-yet-started or stale &#8230; I&#8217;ll come back and have a look later in the week.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This isn&#8217;t a first&#8211;I try to follow quite a few blogs with Google Reader. \u00a0The volume can be enormous, but I continue to add new blogs anyway. \u00a0You see, I can&#8217;t really tell how prolific a blogger may become when I start following their blog.
